Music notation part includes 80 notations oF the calendar and ritual songs scattered throughout the text. The base o f the music notation col­ lection is th e song notations written down in Altai and Krasnoyarsk ter­ ritories, Omsk, Novosibirsk and Tomsk regions. In the notes to the music texts are given the European-Russian variants to the Siberian songs, and also the d efin ition o f the Siberian melodies from the poin t o f view o f calendar song’s typology by Z.Ya . Mozheiko and I.I. Zemtsovsky. One can fin d the samples o f d iffer en t ways o f fixa tion o f the musical characteristics o f the charm’s speech intonation: rhythmic, p itch o f sounds, timbre in the article "About the Musicality o f the Charms". In the record enclosed with the volume are reproduced 15 samples of the Siberian calendar songs of d ifferen t cycles and 6 charms. Besides th e necessary information about the folk lore texts in the notes d iffer en t texts’ variants and their correspondences to the classical song collections by P.V. Kireevsky, RV. Shein, A.A. Sobolevsky, I.I. Zemtsovsky and charm collections published by L.N. Maikov, P.S. Yefimenko, N.N. Vinogra­ dov are given. The system o f indices reflects the geography o f calendar and ritual songs’ and charms’ spreading, the circle o f their performers and collectors.
